A New Chapter: Introducing Global 50/50
Since 2017, Global Health 50/50 has been a trusted, evidence-driven authority and research initiative driving accountability for gender equality in the global health sector. Our work has helped to catalyse change across the policies, practices, and leadership within our sample of 200 organisations working in global health, and beyond – establishing a global benchmark for progress and transparency for equality.
But we know that the forces driving gender inequality don’t stop at the borders of health. They’re systemic, deeply rooted, and embedded across the worlds of justice, finance, education, and more.
That’s why we’re excited to share that Global Health 50/50 is evolving – into Global 50/50.
This new chapter allows us to take our proven model into new sectors, while staying grounded in the evidence-informed, change-focused work we’re known for. It’s still us – just with a broader mandate, a growing team, and an unwavering commitment to driving gender justice across the systems that shape our lives.
Expanding Our Impact
Global 50/50 brings together a unified brand architecture and bold new vision: to expose and address gender inequality across global systems. Anchored by our parent brand, Global 50/50, our work now expands into three powerful pillars:
- Global Health 50/50: Continuing to lead on gender and health equity.
- Global Justice 50/50: Launching mid-2025, with an interim report on the judiciary and a full Global Gender & Justice Report in the autumn.
- Global Finance 50/50: Launching in 2026, with a focus on gender accountability across financial systems.
Each initiative builds on GH5050’s proven methodology: rigorous, transparent research that not only highlights disparities but activates data for accountability and drives reform.

Why Global 50/50?
The barriers to gender equality are not siloed. Just as human rights are indivisible and interdependent, so too is gender justice. Whether in health systems, courtrooms, or boardrooms of global finance, unequal power structures shape access to opportunity, wellbeing, and resources.
Global 50/50 is our response to this reality: an evolved platform that enables us to apply our proven approach across more sectors, while staying grounded in the same core mission that has guided us since the beginning.
Our vision remains unchanged: better health, justice, fairer finance, and equal opportunities for all people of all genders, everywhere.
